USEFUL tips

What does independent artist mean?

Everyone is a solopreneur, meaning they have their own microbusiness under our roof.  They are responsible for their own business operations, pricing, supplies, licensing regulations, taxes while paying rent for their time inside our business. 

How do I make an appointment?

If you have a preferred artist or one that you’ve been recommended to, you will visit artists page and communicate with them directly or go directly to their scheduler. 

If you are new to Urban and have a date in mind you can visit  artist page and seek who works on your preferred day, you will then schedule with them directly.

If you are unsure who to go to and would like a recommendation from us, we will do our best to point you in the right direction by clicking on NEW CLIENT.

What if I am running late or need to change last minute.  

Please communicate with your artist directly, if they are with a client and do not respond you can call us at 802-862-1670 and we will do our best to let them know (please note, we do not always have someone answering the phone)

Will my stylist push product?

Rest assured that your recommendations are personalized just for you. Their knowledge of haircare  and your hairs needs are why you choose them! 

Can I bring my children to my appointment?
We have designed our salon to be a “getaway” for clients, therefore we ask that you come and enjoy your time alone. We service young adults 13 and over so we can stay committed to an stress free environment.
 
What about tipping?

Tipping is a personal preference and should be discussed with your artist. Your gratuity extends an appreciation for the expertise of your stylist and services performed, however if you choose not to tip, your loyalty proves your appreciation. What gratuity is NOT: a way to leverage or insult. It is NOT expected, however this industry has been designed for tipping please be transparent with your concerns.  Tipping is NOT you purchasing products for yourself and calling it gratuity (yes this is a thing).

Share your beauty secrets!

It happens to everyone (and if doesn’t, it should), that moment when someone stops you and asks you “where did you get your hair done?”  A referrals is the best compliment you can give. 

Is it necessary to schedule future appointments?

It’s a great feeling knowing that your appointment is at the time that fits best into your life, pre-booking is highly advised. 

What if my expectations weren’t met?

We want you to be 100% fulfilled with your experience, 95% of people feel 75% more confident when their hair is spot on, we understand how upsetting it can be if you’re when you are unhappy with the results. As professionals, we strive to make you feel and look beautiful, respectful feedback to your servicing artist is advised. Parking?

There is ample free parking!

CELL PHONE EDICATE
There is a reason it is capitalized, it’s a respectful yell.  Our open floor plan doesn’t allow for privacy, cell phones are distracting to you and everyone around you but when you make it a priority responsibility, it makes for a happier environment. 
PLEASE make a point to turn OFF your ringer & keep conversations outside your appointment(especially on speaker I mean really?)
